Theodoor mobile app with door controls

Selected for Pitt's Inclusive App Accelerator

Doorbotics joined the University of Pittsburgh's Inclusive App Accelerator to support development of Theodoor's mobile app and business strategy.

Read the update

Opening a door should be straightforward, including from your phone. The accelerator supports our work on the app experience alongside the business development needed to bring Theodoor to more people.

The app is one of several ways to operate Theodoor, alongside a wireless remote. Our focus remains the same: giving people more control over everyday door access.

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

VA grant supports more independent door access

A $200,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs supports our work on Theodoor for veterans with disabilities, helping advance a removable approach to automatic door access.

Read the update

Theodoor is designed to unlatch, open, and close swing doors without permanent home modifications. That approach makes it possible to remove and relocate the system as a person's needs change.

This grant supports our work to make that everyday independence available to more veterans. It is a development milestone in Theodoor's journey from prototype to use at home.
